Hi, I’m John.

I grew up as one of eleven kids in a Catholic family — which means chaos was just the background noise of everyday life. Between family road trips, Catholic school mischief, questionable pets, and holidays that never quite went as planned, I learned early on that you really can’t make this stuff up.

These days I live in Barefoot Bay, Florida, and I spend my time collecting and telling the stories that stuck with me — the ones that still make my family laugh (or wince) every time they come up at dinner.

Every story on this site is true. Some of them are heartwarming. A lot of them are ridiculous. All of them are real.
